image137 - WORLD WAR II POLISH PILOT’S WING – EXTREMELY SCARCE MARKED PIECE!

Price: $425.00

This is a set of very scarce Second World War Polish Pilot’s Wings in complete and excellent condition. They are nicely marked on the reverse, “Jeniknedler – Warzawa” and complete with original screw post and brass retaining nut. In addition they retain the original hook and chain suspender. This beautiful looking wing appears to be constructed of heavy sterling silver but is not marked as such. The wing features a swooping eagle with brass wreath in it beak. There is very nice detail to the eagle’s wings, head and wreath with both the obverse and reverse sides displaying a wonderful and mellow age patina. This is the type wing used by the Polish pilots who flew with the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain and are not very often encountered on the collector’s market. A very beautiful and scarce piece remaining in complete and excellent condition.

image138 - WWII JAPANESE SPECIAL LANDING FORCE T-99 BAYONET IN RUBBERIZED SCABBARD – EXCELLENT & VERY SCARCE!

Price: $895.00

Here we have an extremely scarce Second World War Japanese Special Landing Force T-99 Bayonet in its equally scarce rubberized scabbard that remains in excellent condition. The wooden handles are a nice light chestnut color and in excellent, undamaged condition being held in place by round headed rivets. The pommel, cross guard and blade retain their original thinly blued finish. There are absolutely no marks on the pommel or at the recasso of the blade. The blade has the original factory edge and is free from nicks, rust or pitting. It is complete with the correct false edge at the top near the tip and fits nicely in the scabbard. The rubberized scabbard is a thing of beauty to behold and in near mint condition. It is completely flexible and not stiff and rigid with age. The loops of the integral rubber frog are equally beautiful and without and cracks, rigidity or misshaping. This is without a doubt the finest example of this very scarce bayonet and scabbard I have ever seen and is a thing of joy to hold in your hands.

image140 - WWI FRENCH MODEL 1882 INFANTRY CANTEEN WITH SLING, COVER AND CUP

Price: $295.00

This is a very nice French Model 1882 Infantry Canteen that is complete and in very good condition. The canteen retains its original leather sling which is full length and undamaged. In addition, the original horizon blue wool cover is still present on the canteen body. This cover retains all the original stitching and has some scattered moth and or wear holes but nothing that is overly distracting. Attached to the canteen by old brown hemp rope is a First World War tin drinking cup in excellent condition. There are no dents, rust or any type of damage to the metal body of the canteen and it remains a very presentable example. This is the style canteen, in this very configuration that was the standard canteen carried by the French Peliou while fighting in the trenches during World War I. Nice!
